E-Media Virtual Identities testing

I have begun testing techniques to get the artwork about virtual identities started. My first tests involved trying to remove the identity of a person. I filmed the subject in front of a wall and then used the clone tool in after effects to lay skin over their facial features to conceal their identity.

No identity

These images i feel evoke a sense of fear, in a way i suppose this is the same feeling some people have about there own identity or the internet. People fear of having their identity stolen, there credit cards, there information. And these images evoke fear from them in a different nature. The images i tried to create are meant to have some shock value to them. I want the viewer to wonder who that person is. I want the viewer to question is that actual a person or a creature. In the nature of an online environment people often hide behind a different identity and this is what I am trying to portray with the next two images. What i have done is taken facial features from other people and the tried to construct a new face using another persons features.

Always watching
